Paddleboarding might be exactly the right fit for you if you’re looking for a fresh approach to keep active and relax.
Mackenzie talks about her passion of this unusual sport and how paddleboarding has changed her path to health.
Mackenzie says, “it’s not only about working out.” “Being out on the water brings a peace I did not know I needed.”
Why would one want to paddleboard?
Paddleboarding offers Mackenzie both mindfulness and fitness. A full-body exercise since balancing on the board calls for core strength. “It’s far more fun than the gym,” she says. Plus, you’re outside, which makes a major difference!
Starting Again
Enjoying paddleboarding requires ease of in-action. Mackenzie advises renting a board to see if it suits you and beginning on calm seas, like as a nearby lake. She advises me not to worry about falling; everyone does at first! Once you feel at ease, you can explore several rivers and even attempt paddleboard yoga for an extra challenge.
Development of Confidence and Strength
Mackenzie feels more robust every time she paddles. “It’s empowering,” she notes. “Gliding across the water on your own power is quite amazing.” She has become more fit, balanced, and even more mentally clear from paddleboarding.
Why then should you not attempt it yourself? “Just one paddle, and you’ll be hooked,” Mackenzie advises.
