Those who want to get stronger but still keep their slim figure would benefit greatly from barre workouts.
The barre technique, which Adeline developed after studying ballet, focuses on small, controlled movements that tone the muscles all throughout the body.
1. Long, sculpted legs from plie squats
Plié squats are the first exercise Adeline does to strengthen and extend her leg muscles. Stand with your feet wide apart, toes pointed out, and knees bent, while keeping your back straight.
Go at a slower pace and stand up by pressing down with your heels. Do this 15 to 20 times to have a beautiful leg form.
2. Elegant Lines from Standing Leg Lifts
If Adeline wants slender legs, she should try standing leg lifts. Lift one leg to the side while maintaining core engagement and holding onto a sturdy surface, like a chair.
Target the inner and outer thighs by repeating 12 to 15 times on each leg then flip sides.
3. Basic Arm Movement Engagement
In order to complete the exercise, Adeline focuses on arm motions that engage the core as well. Stand erect while performing small pulses and circles with your arms while holding small hand weights or water bottles.
In addition to strengthening the arms, this move also helps you maintain a great posture.
With its combination of poise and force, Adeline’s barre training is ideal for developing long, lean muscles. Put your inner dancer on display by giving it a go!
