Luna Ward’s Low-Sodium Meal Plans for the Family

Luna Ward’s first concern is controlling the sodium intake in her family. “Eating low-sodium doesn’t have to be bland or boring,” she notes. Everyone will appreciate these family-friendly dinner suggestions.

1. Herb-Roasted Chicken

Garlic, rosemary, thyme, lemon juice season chicken thighs; then roast them till golden. Luna comments, “The herbs add so much flavour you won’t miss the salt.”

2. Veggie-Packed Chili

Ground turkey, kidney beans, tomatoes, and a concoction of cumin and paprika abound in Luna’s chilli. “Using fresh items makes all the difference,” she says.

3. Stuffed Bell Peppers

Load bell peppers with chopped tomatoes, black beans, corn, and brown rice. “Using fresh products makes it colourful, filling, and sodium-free.” She says.

4. Home Made Pizza

Luna creates her own pizza dough and top it with fresh mozzarella, no-salt tomato sauce, lots of vegetables. “The kids love it, and I feel good knowing what’s in it,” she notes.

Luna says, “cooking low-sodium meals is easier than you think.” “It’s about discovering flavours that shine on their own.”
